We have some improvements for the coming weeks we’d like to share with you to help you plan for your next St. Augustine vacation.
From 10/23/23 until possibly 12/22/23 there will be workers present on property Monday – Friday, 8am to 6pm. They will be repairing some areas of our walkways and touching up paint throughout the property. There will be no property work performed on Saturdays and Sundays, there will be no work on Thanksgiving Thursday or Friday, and the work should be completed prior to the Christmas holiday week.
The county will also be performing dune renourishment on local beaches for the benefit of the environment. Work was set to start on 11/14 and was delayed to start 11/28, which is now also delayed –we have heard 12/11/23 but that could also be changed to happen sooner or later. Once they get to our area of the beach, we expect working days to be Monday – Saturday from 6:30am – 7pm. At some point during this period, they will add sand under and around our boardwalk and our access to the beach will have to remain closed during working hours on these days. We only anticipate a 2-day closure, but do not have the exact dates this will happen. We do expect to see trucks and heavy equipment driving up and down the beach during this time. They will be closing the drive on access to our beach, as well as the public parking lot next door to us. The equipment being used will cause some noise, but the workers will monitor vibrations.
