With your cooperation during your stay, we will be able to continue to welcome all of your family members, especially the extra furry ones!
Beacher’s Lodge is a condo property, so each unit is individually owned; the owner of the unit decides if they are willing to allow a pet in their condo. We know how important pets are to their owners, and we want to ensure that we can continue to welcome pets to our oceanfront property, so please be sure to follow the rules while visiting.
Pet-Friendly Condo Rental Policies
When making a reservation …
- Pet must be under 35 lbs (Please call for exceptions)
- Reservation must be made for a “pet-friendly” unit; this should be requested at the time the reservation is made, and the pet must be declared at check-in.
- There is a $75 pet non-refundable clean-up fee per pet per stay.
- A maximum of 2 pets are allowed in any pet-friendly condo (per Condo Association rules).
While on the property…
- Pets are not allowed in the lobby/front desk office.
- Pets must be leashed and kept under total control while the pet is in any public or common places within the hotel (walkways, stairwells, elevators).
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area; however, the pool has been fenced in so that you may use the boardwalk to take your pets to the beach.
- There is a designated area to walk your pet behind the rental office. Take the walkway between the office and the conference room, and you will find a grassy area with a pet clean-up station. There is a trash can and doggy bag station to aid you in picking up after your pet.
- No matter where your pet decides to use the bathroom, you are responsible for cleaning up after your pet, so be prepared. Because we are also a condo association, there will be fines levied for infractions of the pet rules.
- Pet owners agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Beacher’s Lodge, its owners, agents, and employees from any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or relating to any claim for personal injury or property damage caused by their pet.
While in the room…
- Pets are not allowed to sit directly on the furniture or bedding. Please request an extra set of sheets from housekeeping to cover any furnishing your pet might be tempted to jump onto.
- Do not use the hotel’s linens or towels to bathe pets.
- Although many pets travel, being left alone in a strange room can be stressful for your pet and your neighbor. Do not leave your pet alone in the room if they will bark in your absence.
- If a pet is left unattended in the room, please leave the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.
- Pet owners will be responsible for any damages, injury, or lost revenue that may be caused by your pet.
- Guests may be asked to vacate the property if their pet becomes a nuisance to other guests (i.e. excessive barking).
- Housekeeping services are performed daily (or weekly with monthly stays), but only in the absence of your pet. Pet owners should remove their pet from the room or arrange a time for housekeeping services or opt not to receive housekeeping services.
- If your unit is located on the 1st level, do not let your pet loose in the grassy area outside your patio. Your pet must be on a leash if outside of your room. The grassy area off the 1st level patio is not a pet walk area. Please walk your pet behind the front office/conference room in the pet walkway area.

Pet-Friendly Things to Do in St Augustine
Take a long beach walk with your soul mate; the beach here is pet-friendly. However, make sure that you keep your pets on a leash while outside of the room and on the property.
It is also essential that all pet owners visiting Beacher’s Lodge are responsible for their pet’s waste. We do have a small dog area on the property with a dog station, but we insist that owners pick up after their pets wherever it might be needed.
