Drinking Around Town
Here is a list of wineries, distilleries, and breweries you’ll want to visit while you’re in town:
- San Sebastian Winery: A family run business and located right in the heart of the city, this is a winery you won’t want to pass up. They offer tours seven days a week including free wine tasting and a detailed tour of the over 18,000 square feet of wine production. Also be sure to check out the rooftop bar and patio where you can sit and enjoy wine straight from production, appetizers, and even live music on Friday’s, Saturday’s, and Sunday’s.
- St. Augustine Distillery: Also a family run business, this distillery produces spirits in-house using only local agriculture to obtain the highest level of sustainability. This distillery is also located in downtown Saint Augustine. The building itself holds many years of history being previously used as an ice plant by Florida Power and Light. This tour is something every lover of fine whiskey and other spirits would not want to pass up.
- Ancient City Brewing: Located farther outside of St. Augustine on State Road 16, this brewing company is a restaurant and crowd favorite in town. This brewing company serves 8 beers on a daily basis along with another 16 beers that are rotated dailey based on the choice of the brewmaster that day. They are open 6 days a week, closed on Monday, and offer events and specials weekly. The brewing company also has a taproom located in downtown St. Augustine where they serve a huge selection of their own beers straight from the brewery.
- St Augustine Brewery Tours: This tour brings you around St. Augustine to visit four of the most renowned breweries in town. The tour travels by air conditioned bus to visit Dog Rose Brewing Company, Ancient City Tap Room, The Bog Brewing Company, and Old Coast Ales. This tour is great for those who want to see it all while also enjoying samples along the way!
- Carrera Wine Cellar: This location is perfect for those just looking to stop in and taste a new selection of wines selective to our city. This cellar hand picks fine wine from the industry and offers tastes before purchasing your perfect bottle of wine to take home. This company also offers events monthly where new wines will be selected and represented by their maker or the workers at the Carrera Wine Cellar.
- Wine Tasting Boat Tour: This boat tour runs straight out of St. Augustine and takes you on a scenic tour of the historic bayfront, where you are sure to see all kinds of wildlife and historical landmarks. While on this tour, you’ll receive a selection of 6 wines hand picked by their crew, and if you don’t like wine don’t worry they also offer a huge selection of beers to suit anyone’s palette.
