Your Love For St. Augustine Beaches

Our guests love the beach and the Florida lifestyle. What we have found over the years is that guests love staying at the beach during the months of January and February. Why is that you might ask- let us tell you about what it is like in St. Augustine and Crescent Beach during this time of year.

Crescent Beach isn’t crowded in January and February

After the holiday celebrations and Nights of Lights have settled down, comes the calm before Spring Break. For those of you that love the beach without all the crowds and traffic, this is the time to visit us. The temperatures are cooler, the traffic is minimal and you can practically enjoy the beach all to yourself. It doesn’t get any better than that! But wait, it does!

Fridays are for Art in St. Augustine

The historic district in St. Augustine has brought the Art Walk back to life. Guests of Beachers’ Lodge enjoy the Art Walk this time of year as St. Augustine isn’t as congested as it can be in the Summer and during the annual Nights of Lights.

The Art Walk is hosted in the historic district of St. Augustine the first Friday of each month. Guests browse the cobblestone streets of history and enjoy the beauty of local and national art that is presented by St. Augustine’s renowned art galleries. Sometimes our guests get a chance to speak with the artist that created the masterpiece that caught their eye.

Farmers Markets are the Heart of St. Augustine

Who doesn’t love fresh veggies, bold spices as well as unique finds in general. St. Augustine has two Farmers’ Markets. The St. Augustine Pier hosts a Farmers Market every Wednesday from 8 am to noon. Enjoy the amazing foods that are hosted by local food artisans and be amazed at the variety of art that is presented by our community artists. Shop local, you’ll be glad you did.

Another Farmers’ Market is hosted by the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. This market is hosted every Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30pm. The market has various foods and crafts to be admired and purchased by guests and locals alike. The unique and local experience is one of the many reasons why guests travel from all over to take advantage of this time of year. The markets are busy, but not as busy during peak season and the weather makes the outdoor experience a true pleasure.

Alive with the Sound of Music

St. Augustine is Alive with Music. Most of the restaurants and small bars often host live music. Guests that visit during this time of year often agree that the ambiance of the cool breeze and local entertainment along with island inspired foods makes for an amazing bonus to the beach experience.

If you are not looking for live entertainment, many of our guests have found that either sitting on their patio or balcony allows them the best enjoyment of all. Whether they are simply soothed by the relaxing sounds of the waves crashing upon the beach or taking in the salty taste of the ocean air, enjoying the balcony can be music for the soul. The cool breeze and chill temperatures make this event enjoyable for those that just want to escape the real world.
