Father’s Day is quickly approaching, and some of us are not sure what we should do for dad on his special day. Should you get him a tie, or a weekend at the beach grilling steaks in the BBQ area at Beacher’s Lodge?
Naturally we think a weekend getaway for dad is much better than a tie and we bet dad will agree. Not only can he grill his favorite BBQ burgers or steaks, but there’s lots to do with dad in the Crescent beach area.

The history of Coastal Florida is filled with major conflicts as everyone sought to control the New World, and this Fort is part of what is left of that history. The fort today serves to protect the barrier islands and the plants and animals that have lived there for hundreds of years.
Kite Surfing
Also on Matanzas Inlet, there are long stretches of beach prime for kitesurfing, something that can be arranged with help from Kiteboarding Florida. Whether you want to stay on Matanzas or take a short trip to somewhere like Porpoise Point, they will help you organize the outing by pointing you in the right direction.
South Beach Grill
A morning of kitesurfing is sure to work up an appetite, and South Beach Grill is one of the top-rated restaurants in Crescent Beach. With a variety of menu options from vegan to gluten-free, burgers to tacos, healthy bowls to fried gator tail, there is surely something on the menu to please any palate.
Moses Creek Conservation Area
To work off your delicious lunch, take dad on a trip to the Moses Creek Conservation area, and walk along a variety of trails, or explore the bluffs within the area. Moses Creek is a wonderful place to picnic, fish, and take a glimpse of the wildlife around you.
