Beacher’s Lodge: Response to COVID 19

Here at Beacher’s Lodge we work together like a family, welcoming our friends to come and visit our shores for much needed rest and relaxation. We know at times like these, everyone gets concerned about the health and safety of loved ones and we are too!  We are closely monitoring the situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to do everything we can to ensure your travel safety.

The safety of our guests and our team members remains our highest priority. We take great pride in being a facility that maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.  In response to the coronavirus, and recommendations from public health authorities, we too have stepped up our approach:

  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including our lobby, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) and have continued the use of hospital grade disinfectants.
  • We are cleaning the guest suites with our same procedures with CDC approved chemicals but we have added additional steps of disinfecting on all frequently touched hard surfaces in the room.
  • Currently, due to capacity issues and a rise in Covid cases in our area, we must restrict the daily housekeeping services that we are so well known for offering. This is only to ensure there is a proper amount of time to clean and disinfect units between occupancy. We can always deliver linens and supplies to your door as needed.
  • We are requiring that our employees to stay home when they are sick, and we want to encourage our visitors to do the same.
  • We understand that these are uncertain times and we remain committed to offering our flexible booking options, which in these unique circumstances should give you extra peace of mind. Unlike many condo rentals, we allow free cancellation with a 48-hour notice.  If you are feeling ill or are faced with other travel complications and need special consideration, please let us know.
  • As of 9/28/20 – The City of St. Augustine continues to encourage all residents and visitors to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and wash their hands; however, in accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order No. 20-244, issued September 25, 2020, the City of St. Augustine has issued Administrative Order 20-15, relating to Public Health Emergency 20-51 (COVID) and State of Emergency 20-52. “We recognize the time has come to proceed with Phase 3 of the reopening strategy throughout the state,” commented City Manager John Regan. “At this stage of the pandemic, businesses and dining establishments can operate confidently knowing that we continue to support and encourage their individual policies regarding masks.” Here is a link to the Administrative Order 20-15
