That Datil, a little spicy but sweet enough to love.  Visit St. Augustine for this two-day event focusing on St. Augustine’s special relationship with the datil pepper.   There will be a Cook-Off on Saturday with several local restaurants competing. Enjoy activities and datil pepper tastings, this annual event celebrates the cultivation of the datil pepper in the nation’s oldest city.  Admission to the Festival is free. Tasting tickets for the Datil Pepper Cook-Off on Saturday are available for $1 per taste. The festival takes place on Saturday, October 1, 9am to 4pm and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016. The Datil Pepper Restaurant Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at the St. Johns County Agricultural Center at 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine 32092. The facility is located at the end of Agricultural Center Drive, accessible by CR 208 from SR 16.

The Wednesday Market is a unique and enjoyable shopping experience at the St. Johns County Pier Park. Each New Year’s Eve we are fortunate to have fireworks on St. Augustine Beach, which is only 5 miles north of Beachers Lodge.  Celebrate the end of a fantastic year and the start of a new one by staying with us!  The event runs from 4pm until 10pm.  There will be live music and plenty of kid friendly activities such as face painting and 9 inflatable bounce houses.  Fireworks on St. Augustine beach take place at 8:30 pm and stay a little later to catch a live performance of local hair band, Papercutt! The St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival is a 450th Legacy Event. As the Nation’s Oldest City prepares to celebrate its birthday, the St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival rolls into its fourth year. It’s fun, it’s exceptional, it’s sumptuous food and delicious wines, incredible Spanish music and dancing and a European experience you won’t find anywhere this side of Spain.

Night Owl Cinema is a free movie event at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre throughout June, July, and August. This free summer movie series offers a screening of movies for families and friends to enjoy. This event is open to the public.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the film will start at 8 p.m. See the schedule below for the movies you’ll be able to enjoy this summer. Movies carry a G to PG-13 rating and are all family-friendly. Food, drinks, and concessions will be available for sale.
